Day on the Hill

The Triangle Chapter of ASHRAE is planning a Day on the Hill.
The goal of the visit is to share information about ASHRAE and
introduce ourselves as industry experts to our Senators and Congressmen.

The plan is to first gather in the Pharaoh’s at the Museum Café,

Tim & Adam will brief everyone on what's next.

We'll then walk across the street to the Legislative Building as a group and visit as many legislators as we can.

east of the museum, across Wilmington St. entrance at
190 E Jones St, Raleigh, NC 27601 and on E Edenton St.
Cost $2/hr

This will be the 2nd annual event hosted by the Triangle Chapter GGAC Committee that allows statewide ASHRAE members an opportunity to interact with North Carolina State legislators.   The Grassroots Government Advocacy Committee builds relationships with government officials to educate them about ASHRAE and our local experts, technical resources, standards and guidelines. ASHRAE plays a vital role in the built environment and the DotH Event provides face-to-face time with influential government officials to promote discussions around sustainable practices by our members.

Volunteer participation is very important towards our goal of establishing long term relationships with State legislators. The visit will include scheduled sit-downs with representatives and breakout groups to walk the halls of the NC Legislative Office.   I encourage all that can make the date to come out to a fun and exciting opportunity to learn more about North Carolina government!
