PRESENTATION: Building Environmental Impacts and Sustainability

Buildings have an enormous impact on our environment, making green buildings critical in the fight against climate change. Join Stanton Stafford, chair of the ASHRAE Building Environmental Impacts and Sustainability Technical Committee, as he talks about the importance of sustainability and his work as the Mechanical Engineer of Record for the new ASHRAE Net-Zero Energy Headquarters.

Stanton brings over 20 years of mechanical engineering and sustainable design and operations experience. His career includes designing, modeling, commissioning, and optimizing building systems for healthcare, science and technology, institutional, and government projects across the U.S. with many LEED certifications. He currently serves on ASHRAE technical committees and has previously served on the Board of the Lifecycle Building Center of Greater Atlanta, the USGBC GA chapter, and the University of Georgia Mechanical Engineering Department.
