Senate Democrats Release their Climate Crisis Report

Democrats on the Senate’s Special Committee on the Climate Crisis released a 200 page report with their solutions to combat the climate crisis. The report advocates for legislation to be drafted that would:

  • Create 10 million new jobs;
  • Increase Federal spending to combat climate change to at least 2% of the U.S.’s annual gross domestic product;
  • Reduce U.S. energy emissions to reach net-zero by 2050.

The Special Committee on the Climate Crisis was formed last year by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and is Chaired by Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI).
