Oct 5th is Energy Efficiency Day

Governor Cooper has proclaimed October 5th as “Energy Efficiency Day”.

This is the 2nd annual event coordinated by member organization groups to promote energy efficiency awareness nationally.   North Carolina has signed up as official supporter on behalf of our submitted proclamation.

Energy Efficiency Day #EEDay2017 (October 5) is a collaborative effort between regional and national organizations, business, utilities, and individuals working to promote energy efficiency: the cheapest, quickest way to meet our energy needs, cut consumer bills and reduce pollution.  Goals are to :

  1. Raise awareness of the energy issues we all face and what we can do to fix them
  2. Help individuals and businesses save money through education on efficiency techniques
  3. Unite people who are passionate about cutting energy waste and conserving resources
