Here is another volunteer opportunity for ASHRAE.

Below is the information and the form to RSVP. If you are interested but not sure if you can make it yet, please RSVP anyway and choose 'maybe' as your commitment answer. I am planning on attending and anyone is welcome to join me! It's a great way to talk to students who are just starting to think about their future careers.

Feel free to pass this information along to any other colleagues who may be interested.
Let me know what you think!

Knightdale High School Reverse Career Fair

When: Friday, January 19. 9:00am-11:30am
Where: Knightdale High School of Collaborative Design. 100 Bryan Chalk Lane Knightdale, NC 27545

We would like to extend an invitation to our Reverse Career Fair the morning of Friday, January 19. You will be matched up with various students throughout the morning to meet with one-on-one who have interest in your career field. Students will have spent most of the semester creating a digital portfolio on their career interest as well as various artifacts displaying their strengths and skills. You will have a rubric to follow, which will aid in providing feedback to the student and develop dialogue between the two of you. We are in need of a couple hundred business professionals and would appreciate you sharing this information with your team members and colleagues! Details for the morning are below, as well as a linked form to RSVP to the event.

Why: The culminating event of a College and Career Project Based Learning Unit. Students will be conducting a "reverse interview" with Business Professionals. Students will display their employability skills, strengths, career goals, etc. Business Professionals will have the opportunity to provide feedback to the students and relevant experience as it pertains to your career. You will be matched with various students throughout the day all whom have career interests similar to your profession. Please follow this link to provide more information on your background: Reverse Career Fair Interest Form

Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Nick Taylor, Assistant Principal (cc'd above) with questions. The students are very excited for the opportunity to market themselves to you and we look forward to seeing you on January 19th!
